Mission: To encourage global and state border travel, to provide a form of official documentation and to gift the power of freedom of movement, flexibility and global perspectives experienced through the act of travel and encounter.
Criteria: Must be a Black American Youth between the ages of 16 and 21 years old:Youth must be US/American born and both parents/ grandparents must be US/American born. Must come from a low-income household and attend(ed) a NYC public School.
The Prize Covers: Complete U.S. Department of State Passport Fees & Special signed gift from LaTasha N. Neveda Diggs
During URe:AD Press' Diaspora Flag Making Workshop at The Laundromat Project's Harlem Field Day 2016, URe:AD announced the First 3 Winners of The Penny's World Passport Prize! These Harlem teens now hold U.S. Passports enabling them, in part, to travel the world. THANKS to LaTasha and CONGRATS to the winners! We look forward to future awarding prizes in the near future.
